Our awardee is popularly known as the pioneer host of ABS-CBN’s The Morning Show. An active and well-respected community member with regular volunteer work in her local church as community lector, a member of the Junior Catholic Women’s league, and one of the pioneer members of the only women’s Lion’s Club in the Philippines, the Sampaguita Lion’s Club. In 2008, she was nominated and selected as the first Woman President of the Rotary Club of Bacolod after 71 years. She is a typical employee who went up the ladder of success by starting from the ranks. She has served as reporter all the way up to being the ABS-CBN’s Regional Sales Manager.
Our awardee is a dear mentor to a multitude of alumni, especially from the Engineering Dept. most of them consider him their father and are very close to him. His excellence in the field of Engineering transcends to his students, and once he sees the good in them, he never stops encouraging, even to the point of berating them, until he is sure that they realize their true potentials. An educator, industrialist, environmentalist, and a leader. As an environmentalist, he upholds clean operations for a sustainable and healthy environment and has also served as a Pollution Officer. His achievements in his lifetime are only outmatched by his trustworthiness, hardworking attitude, and utmost loyalty to CSA-B.
Works as a Nurse/Emergency Technician Emergency Medical Services in Al-Adan Hospital Ministry of Health, Kuwait. A nominee in Bagong Bayani Foundation Inc, Bagong Bayani Award 2016 and 2nd Place in Western Union Search- Heroes for Better in Kuwait in 2015. Mr. Taton is President of PANIK (Pinoy Ambulance Nurses in Kuwait) and PNA-K (Pinoy Nurses Association-Kuwait). He is also the founding President and Committee of Philippine Professional Organization-Kuwait that brought the SPLBE (Special Professional Licensure Board Examination) in Kuwait conducted last September 2015 and 2016 under the Direct Supervision of the Department of Labor and Employment.
This awardee hails from Cadiz City and grew up in Hacienda Cornell. Sheer perseverance and intelligence propelled her to reaching hear dreams from being a student leader and traversing the fields of sales, leadership, and volunteerism. Currently, she is involved in several outreach activities for her hometown and here in Bacolod City. All these traits were developed even more through her encounter with the Augustinian brand of education. Thanks to Mam Susan’s consistent promotion of our school and for being a role model, CSA-B always has a steady stream of students coming from Faraon Institute, Cadiz City.
He is a Senior Staff Nurse in the Intensive Care Unit of St. Vincent University Hospital in Dublin, Ireland. He is also an awardee of Filipino Nurse Achievement Award by the Philippine Nurses Association Ireland 2016. Mr. Espina is a great inspiration, not only to us Augustinians, but to our nation. He is the first-ever Filipino to qualify, run, and finish the Spartathlon in Greece, touted to be the most difficult marathon in the world. Ireland has been very eager to be his sponsor, but he chose to bear the Philippine flag and represent our country in the race. His passion for marathon also extended to his being charitable. He hosts events in Ireland to raise funds for Filipinos in need, especially after the typhoon Yolanda.
Mr. Garriel is a registered Nurse in Memorial Hermann, Texas. In 2010, he was given the Daisy Award, a commendation given to the excellent Nurses in the US who create an environment where compassionate care thrives. He bears himself with humility and exemplifies the value of Charity by always helping out those who are in need when he can. He is most notable in CSA-B for his sponsorship of Mr. Jherbong Termil, one of our Nursing students. He saw the need of Jherbong, and immediately reached out to be of help. Not only did he shoulder the tuition of Jherbong, but he also supports him up to his Nursing Board Exam review.
A Paragon in almost all sorts of crafts, a jill of all trades and a modern-day St. Monica – this is Mrs. Ronora Sevilla Malaga in a nutshell. She currently is the Deputy Director of Research and Development Services for Carlos HIlado Memorial State College. She is also taking a second Doctoral Degree in Philosophy Major in Research and Evaluation through a Scholarship Program of the Commission on Higher Education. Despite her being highly decorated professional, she never brags about her achievement. In addition, she never fails to look back and give back to her Alma Mater through offering her expertise whenever she can, especially to her her beloved college. She is a soaring eagle, but always takes the time to come down and be of help to CSA-B.
Studied and worked at the same time as member of the CSA-B Working Scholars Association from 1988-1992. Her career spans the field of accounting, auditing, and housekeeping particularly of a commercial center under the real estate industry. She is currently the Housekeeping head of Robinsons Land Corporation, Robinsons Place, Bacolod City. Under her supervision, she has given Housekeeping a new meaning. With her being at the top of the department, Housekeeping has gone beyond mopping and sweeping to become a department specializing in activity coordination and facilitation, partner concern resolution, system innovation and building beautification.
Engr. Segovia was a top student in Engineering during his time, active in both academic and extra-curricular activities. He has taught for 6 years in TUP but has moved into the industry as Supervisor in Asian Alcohol for two year; transferred to Distileria Bago, Inc as Process Head; became the Process Division Manager for San Carlos Bioenergy Inc and later promoted to VP Operations. Currently, he is the Resident Manager for Roxol Bioenergy Corporation. Being an experienced Chemical Engineer, he is one of the pillars of the Philippine Alcohol Industry. Engr. Noli continues to be of service to his Alma Mater as he was the Guest Speaker during the Baccalaureate Hooding and College Awards Ceremony of the College of Engineering 2013, and Commencement Speaker during the 53rd Commencement Exercise of CSA-B 2017.
Has over 33 years of healthcare experience with strong leadership skills in combined nursing leadership roles, education, understanding market segmentation and implementation of initiatives and projects within the assigned units. She is currently the Director of Clinical Services of Getinge Group – ArjoHuntleigh, Addison Illinois, where she has transitioned into many roles that push the envelope of traditional nursing that includes sales, and business leadership. A strong professional nurse leader who can manage others to achieve greatness.
