The Basic Education Department (BED), long the trail-blazer in CSA-B’s drive for accreditation with the Philippine Accrediting Association of Schools, Colleges and Universities (PAASCU), has been granted Level III status valid for five years until May 2021. In a memorandum dated May 10, 2017, the Office of the President commends the efforts of the Vice President for Academic Affairs, the Principal, Quality Assurance Director, subject area coordinators, faculty, staff and students for their contribution to the success of the BED accreditation.
The core programs of the College department have likewise improved on their respective PAASCU status levels. The Arts and Sciences, and Elementary and Secondary Education programs of the College of Arts, Sciences and Education (CASE), the Business Administration program of the College of Accountancy, Business Education and Computer Studies (CABECS), the Mechanical and Computer Engineering programs of the College of Engineering (CoE) have been granted Level II re-accredited status for five years, valid until May 2022.
Furthermore, the Entrepreneurship program of CABECS has been granted initial accreditation (Level I) for three years, valid until May 2020. CABECS’ Tourism Management program is also eligible for a Formal Survey six months to a year from May 2017, paving the way for a potential Level I status.
The School Administration commends with deep gratitude the efforts of all Vice Presidents, Deans of CABECS, CASE and CoE, Quality Assurance Director, Committee Chairpersons and Members, Area Heads, Coordinators, faculty, staff, students and all those who have contributed to the success of the 2017 tertiary level PAASCU visit.
