CSAB proudly emerged as Champion in the Battle of the Nightingales 2025, an inter-school Nursing Quiz Bowl Competition hosted by Riverside Medical Center, Inc. The event brought together the best and brightest nursing students from 13 higher education institutions across Western Visayas and the Negros Island Region.
Leading CSAB to victory were the proud Augustinian nursing champions Therese Erika A. Gomez, J Eugene Christian S. Jolito, and Lyn Rae M. Vallejo, under the expert guidance of their coach, Ms. Lourdez Ivaliz Iledan, RN, MN. Their teamwork, preparation, and determination propelled CSAB to the top spot, bringing immense honor and pride to the Augustinian community. With this victory, the Augustinian champions will carry the banner of the Visayas Region as they advance to the National Level Competitions, proving their excellence on an even bigger stage.
In a spirited display of brilliance, CSAB outshone its peers to claim the championship title, while Silliman University–Dumaguete secured 2nd Place and Iloilo Doctors’ College placed 3rd. The competition also featured the participation of other colleges and universities, including the University of St. La Salle, University of Negros Occidental-Recoletos, West Visayas State University, Foundation University (Dumaguete City), University of San Agustin (Iloilo), State University of Northern Negros, Central Philippine Adventist College, Riverside College, St. Paul University (Dumaguete City), and Negros Oriental State University.
This remarkable triumph highlights not only the commitment to excellence of CSAB’s Nursing students but also the collective support of their families and mentors at the College of Health and Allied Professions – Nursing Program.
CSAB extends its warm congratulations to its winning team and to all participating schools for making this year’s Battle of the Nightingales a meaningful celebration of knowledge, camaraderie, and the noble profession of nursing.
