CWTS-A’s Journey Found Its Roots In Service and Its Strength in Unity

  • May 6, 2025

In the early Saturdays, the students came together as strangers with a task. But over time, with hands in soil, sweat on brows, and hearts aligned in service, they became a team united by purpose.

The ecobricks project, once just an idea, slowly took shape in the quiet hillside of San Agustin Center of Spirituality at DSB. What started as empty bottles filled with plastic waste soon turned into structures of hope. They didn’t just build, but they planted. They molded bricks, laid groundwork, passed on seeds, and in the process, grew a vision that now stands as a testimony to their perseverance. Each cluster contributed not just time, but effort driven by a shared belief: that even small acts, done together, can leave lasting change. Saturdays meant early mornings, unpredictable weather, and limited resources.

While this CWTS-A batch now reaches the end of their NSTP community immersion journey, the work they’ve started is built to outlast them. The project will continue to grow and flourish in the years to come, this CWTS-A batch will always carry the pride of being its beginning, the hands that first shaped its foundation.
