SHS Students Showcase Research on Wildlife Crime Reporting at 8th Biodiversity Symposium

Grade 11 STEM Senior High School students presented their study, “Awareness, Intention, and Barriers in Wildlife Crime Reporting Among Senior High School Students,” during the 8th Biodiversity Research Symposium held on November 14, 2025, at the CSA-B Audio-Visual Room.
 
The study highlights the importance of youth involvement in conservation efforts. It was presented by Dana Beatrice C. Baylon and co-authored by Marteen Jibril Adrael B. Labrador, with their mentors Deo Anne V. Espinosa and Plaridel D. Tison Jr. The symposium was organized by the Provincial Environment Management Office (PEMO) in collaboration with the Philippines Biodiversity Conservation Foundation, Inc. (PhilBio), as part of the 21st Wildlife Month celebration of the Province of Negros Occidental.
