Colegio San Agustin-Bacolod has formally signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Negros Economic Development Foundation (NEDF), establishing a collaborative partnership that seeks to strengthen academic exchange, development initiatives, and capacity-building efforts.
The signing ceremony was led by NEDF President Wilhelmina R. Gonzales, CPA, MBA, and CSAB President Fr. Jose Rene C. Delariarte, OSA. Also present to witness the event were NEDF Board of Directors Chair Dr. Ramon Ponce De Leon, Executive Director Rose Depra, Vice Chair Dr. Ma. Mercedes Joson, CSAB Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Randdie Cuelo, Vice President for Research, Innovation and Engagement Dr. Noeda Madamesila, and Community Engagement Program Office Director Altha Gracia Diopido. The entire NEDF Board of Directors likewise attended the ceremony to show their support.
The MOU outlines collaborations in research, training, and capacity-building initiatives, as well as the exchange of knowledge and expertise between the two institutions. Both CSAB and NEDF view the partnership as a platform for generating sustainable solutions to local and regional development challenges.
The partnership is envisioned to open opportunities for joint programs focused on community empowerment and applied learning for both students and faculty. The partnership reflects CSAB’s mission of fostering resilience and sustaining excellence in education by extending its commitment to service and social responsibility while providing meaningful, real-world engagement experiences for its academic community.
The Augustinian community extends its gratitude to the NEDF for recognizing its capacity to contribute to the Foundation’s vision and mission of building a more progressive and sustainable Negros Island Region.
