Education and community empowerment took center stage at the Sipalay City Government Center on March 9–10, 2026, as the Sipalay City Local Government Unit welcomed the delegation from CSAB.
Led by School President Fr. Jose Rene C. Delariarte, OSA, the CSAB delegation was warmly received by Hon. Maria Gina Montilla Lizares, Mayor of Sipalay City. The visit marked a key step in strengthening collaboration between the “Jewel of the Sugar Island” and the Augustinian academic community.
Discussions centered on three priority areas: exploring the possible establishment of a CSAB presence in Sipalay, opening scholarship opportunities for deserving Sipalaynon youth, and initiating academic collaborations and research initiatives aimed at addressing local development challenges.
The visit also served as a meaningful reunion with Augustinian alumni serving across Sipalay. During the gathering, the CSAB Alumni Association – Southern Negros Chapter was formally organized, with Joan L. Sayson as its founding president, bringing together “Augustinians of the South” in a shared commitment to service and community development.
CSAB expressed its gratitude to the Sipalay City LGU for selecting it as a partner in broadening educational opportunities for the youth of Sipalay and across Southern Negros.
VIVA, SAN AGUSTIN!
