CSA-Bacolod Pharmacy Program Visits Taiwanese Vaccine, Biological Corporation

Hsinchu County, Taiwan – Colegio San Agustin-Bacolod Pharmacy Program visited Medigen Vaccine Biologics Corporation for a plant tour and a lecture on Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) today, October 23.

Quality Compliance Associate Director Robert Midence, PhD gave emphasis on the importance of ensuring quality of products and strict compliance to GMP as quality pharmaceuticals play important role in the healthcare industry during his talk on Pharmaceutical GMP.

Aside from GMP, Medigen also explained how the company processes their own pharmaceutical grade water, Water For Injection (WFI), in their manufacturing plant.

During the plant visit, delegates from CSA-B were also toured to the plant where the different cleanrooms were explained and classified by different grades and were showed how the company maintains the pipeline properly through their validated cleaning process.

Good Manufacturing Practice requires companies to regulate and monitor particulate matters in a specific area and align in-process manufacturing procedures to specific cleanroom requirements by grades.

Medigen is an PIC/S GMP vaccine manufacturing facility located at Taiwan, and produces the number 1 Taiwan-made COVID-19 vaccine, and believes that the right to health is a fundamental part of human rights and foundation of global development.
